3d Glass, Splash Reflect

This is a 3D work in glass, I took my original inspiration from the photos I took of the reflections in the swimmingpool.
One of the best parts was the actual smashing of a sunroof from a Jaguar, that I will share with you when I have found a formatt to upload my video from the PC on to this blog.
Meanwhile my idea was to build up in layers and reflect light from undernearth, as I worked with the glass I decided that I wanted more lift and height so I bent and shaped the glass pieces to suit my design. I am now going to light my work from the side as it didnt look right from underneath, some of  the glue I used was a Gorrilla glue, which is stronger and faster drying, did great job, but tended to cloud and foam, not easy to get of your hands, so with a bit of engrained charchoal and pastels I looke like had some strange skin disease, lesson of the day stear clear of Gorrillas if you want to have a social life.

Painting with different tools

I have been experimenting with different mark making, while keeping the idea of lots of movment going, in my paintings i have used lollpop sticks, string, pens, and carnations are quite effetive at making interesting shapes and textures when loaded with various thicknesses of paint.
I also used a variety of acylics, watercolours, oil pastels, to get the required effect.

Lost and Found

I have some wise advise for you and some good news. This last week i discovered that if you put your SD card into someone else's camera the card will formatt differently and it will appear that your previous work will be lost to view on your camera, I had hoped that it would send on to the computer via the usb interface, but no it was nowhere to be found on camers or computer, it looked like I had lost the record of my weeks work. The good news is that i found that if you put the card directly into the photo print machine it regognised all the pictures I had taken, so then I took the card and put it in to the card slot on my laptop and then it recognised and sent all the photos including the "lost"ones on to my laptop.

I wanted to photograph the movement and surface reflection of a different water source, so i went to the swimming pool and set up my camera to capture these shots, some were done on the tripod but the best ones were hand held, i like the effects and shapes of these.
