A mono print is fun and can be done in as little or as much time as the detail you choose to put in to it. After drawing in a festive red ink, strangely it reminds me of snow, I won't bore you with the mono print image that I did, because I liked the discard sheet it had some interesting shapes, so I drew into it for a few mintues r+r.

What to do when your print goes wrong
I have been working on some prints, I was looking at the ones,( which were most of them) that were no good for my purpose. So decided to have some fun with my rejects, I will show you one of the ideas I have done so far, there was a certain satisfaction in chopping up this peice of work, to get to the end result in keeping with my glass shatterimg effect, now I like it.

Added light
I have experimented with different colours under the glass and then I raised the sculpture and added light from underneath, this adds to the movment by reflecting against a background almost like a sky or rippling water which is what i wanted .

Framework
I have now placed my 3d into a frame, I designed the frame so that it slopes downward to make it more effective.Next I am going paint the frame in keeping with my theme, the intention being that the frame will be subtle, and enhance the shapes,of the glass.

3d Glass, Splash Reflect
This is a 3D work in glass, I took my original inspiration from the photos I took of the reflections in the swimmingpool.
One of the best parts was the actual smashing of a sunroof from a Jaguar, that I will share with you when I have found a formatt to upload my video from the PC on to this blog.
Meanwhile my idea was to build up in layers and reflect light from undernearth, as I worked with the glass I decided that I wanted more lift and height so I bent and shaped the glass pieces to suit my design. I am now going to light my work from the side as it didnt look right from underneath, some of the glue I used was a Gorrilla glue, which is stronger and faster drying, did great job, but tended to cloud and foam, not easy to get of your hands, so with a bit of engrained charchoal and pastels I looke like had some strange skin disease, lesson of the day stear clear of Gorrillas if you want to have a social life.

Painting with different tools
I have been experimenting with different mark making, while keeping the idea of lots of movment going, in my paintings i have used lollpop sticks, string, pens, and carnations are quite effetive at making interesting shapes and textures when loaded with various thicknesses of paint.
I also used a variety of acylics, watercolours, oil pastels, to get the required effect.

Lost and Found
I have some wise advise for you and some good news. This last week i discovered that if you put your SD card into someone else's camera the card will formatt differently and it will appear that your previous work will be lost to view on your camera, I had hoped that it would send on to the computer via the usb interface, but no it was nowhere to be found on camers or computer, it looked like I had lost the record of my weeks work. The good news is that i found that if you put the card directly into the photo print machine it regognised all the pictures I had taken, so then I took the card and put it in to the card slot on my laptop and then it recognised and sent all the photos including the "lost"ones on to my laptop.

Motion and Movement
Welcome to my blog, the project I am currently working on is to interpret motion and movement.and show it in various mediums of art. So far I have decided to explore the idea of light moving on water. I am using photos that i have taken for inspiration and have drawn images in oil pastel, chalk with a small amount of collage work. I found that I like the way the chalk gathers on the torn joins of the collage, I think I will develop this further.
